Welcome to Atlantis, a Caribbean villa with a distinct modern flair.  Atlantis sits on top of a hill overlooking some of the best views in Saint Lucia. The sloping parkland around the villa is beautifully manicured, with many well established trees and tropical shrubs, low-walled planters and a carefully tended kitchen garden springing into bounty after years of green-fingered care.

The curved driveway leads to a generous parking area and the impressive but welcoming entrance; with its elegant coral stone staircase framed by an arched portico and stately double doors. The single storey villa’s walls are built from natural local stone, and the arch motif is repeated throughout the exterior and interior, including the stylish but eminently functional solid wood windows whose shape exactly echo the architectural detail.  Atlantis is a unique property in many ways, and the villa’s recent clever, high end upgrade has resulted in a crisp, modern look with an historic, old Caribbean feel.

Step inside, and the 8000 square foot home beckons in all directions.   The immediate centre of attention is the indoor gated courtyard, with its soothing water feature and deep koi pond open to the blue sky above, a surprisingly Italianate feature in this Saint Lucian family home, throwing light and air throughout the adjacent great room and casual living area.

The living space has two areas: the formal lounge looks onto the villa’s capacious wrap-around verandah and pool deck, through tall, wide French windows which echo the arched style of the entrance. The interior walls are beautiful, a textural mixture of coral stone and natural local stone. Their silvery grey tones contrast with the high vaulted, dark stained ceiling, an original feature which was hand-crafted from beautifully finished natural wood. A casual-style TV den complete with a 50 inch smart TV lies to the right off the main living space, and the kitchen and formal dining room open up to the left.

From crisp white cabinetry and modern fixtures to granite countertops and state of the art appliances, the family kitchen at Atlantis is spacious enough for casual dining, and impressively appointed for entertaining. It leads to the formal dining room, with its solid wood, refectory style table and seating room for eight to twelve.

Through every arched window of Atlantis there is a breathtaking panorama, and a step through any one of the French doors reveals some of the villa’s extensive views. The outdoor living area is a seamless extension of indoors, with comfortable areas for relaxing and dining, and access to the 80’ infinity pool with its bird’s eye vantage of the hills and golf course below. To the west, the panorama extends from Mount Pimard and Rodney Bay to Pigeon Island, with Martinique sometimes visible on the horizon. To the east, the wraparound verandah peeks towards the Atlantic, off Cas En Bas Bay.  All around the property, balmy breezes and shady corners keep the indoor and outdoor spaces cool all day long.

Several guest bedrooms are laid out in an interlocking floor plan off the beautiful indoor/outdoor atrium near the courtyard. Cathedral ceilings and lots of arched windows ensure every bedroom is bright and airy.  There are 6 bedrooms in total, bedroom 1 is to the left of the courtyard and has a queen size bed and an ensuite bathroom. The other four queen bedrooms are functionally laid out, and each features an ensuite bathroom. Within easy reach of these bedrooms is a cosy tv room, complete with DVD and a small movie selection. 

The last of the 6 suites is a magnificent 1,300 sq. foot master suite, accessible via a private hallway with a graciously sized bedroom enjoying wonderful views of the Caribbean sea. It boasts a UK Superking bed and lavish ensuite bathroom, featuring a rain shower and soak tub.

Villa Atlantis is a unique and impressive property, sprawling and spacious, but with a warm and welcoming family ambiance, and a layout designed for entertaining. Perched on top of its hilltop vantage point, secluded and private Atlantis boasts a 10 minute drive to most amenities and attractions of Rodney Bay.

 

Staffing includes: housekeeper - 6 days weekly from 9 am to 4 pm and a gardener/ general maintenance man 5 days weekly. 

Cook service available within working hours of 9am to 4pm.

There is a friendly dog on property that is removed when booked.

Please note that our housekeepers are not trained nannies and should not be expected to look after and/or babysit infants and children. If you do make babysitting arrangements with the staff, please be advised this is at your own risk.

This property is a non smoking property.  External areas ONLY may be utilised for the smoking of cigarettes / cigars.  Also if any illegal substances are located or found on the property the result will be immediate eviction and charges may be levied against you.

 

Please note check in is at 2 pm and check out is at 12 noon.  Late check outs can be granted upon request, subject to availability, and after paying an applicable fee of US$100.00.

 

All damages and/ or missing items are accountable under the damages contract signed directly with Tropical Villas St. Lucia or with your Tour Operator or Travel Agent.  All charges are to be settled prior to departure.

 

International calls cannot be made from the telephones at the villas, unless a cash deposit or credit card pre-authourisation is made and then these lines can be  opened.  Once this is done, guests are then liable for all international calls made from the telephone line.  This also includes international toll free numbers dialled outside of the country as these DO incur charges locally.

 

No pets are allowed on the property.

 

All bookings are subject to a 25% non refundable deposit required to confirm a reservation and the balance is due 45 days prior to arrival.  For Christmas / New Years bookings,  a 10% supplement is applied to regular high season rate and a 50% Non refundable deposit is required and the balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.  We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover you in the eventuality of a cancellation.

 

Please note that villas are for the exclusive use of resident guests only.  Any extra guests must be pre-advised and pre-arranged through Tropical Villas Management.
